"Catering Co." Embossed Soda - 2/16/2011 8:55:21 PM    lastmanstanding   Posts: 29 Joined: 6/6/2010 Status: offline Hello everyone, I recently obtained a neat embossed soda from Sac City Catering Co. of Sac City, Iowa.  I first saw a badly damaged example of this bottle about 10-12 years ago and finally got a decent one.  This bottle was produced by Root Glass Co. and dated 1919, and it is the deep aqua/green color like many of the Root sodas.  Other than having an interesting name this bottle is a typical straight sided crown soda.  I own or have seen numerous bottles that mention ice, "cold storage," "electric" or "ice cream" as part of the company name but this is the first I can recall that mentions "catering."  Anyone else ever seen that embossing on a soda?
