Some of you oldtimers may remember my singing probes from a few years ago. I stopped making them because my steel source dried up with China buying every piece of scrap steel in sight. I think I may have located a good source of steel again. If there is enough interest I will seriously look into getting this started back up. Fortunately 4', 5', and 6' steel is available so lots of folks wanted the longer stuff back when I was making them. Cost of steel and shipping have gone up substantially so don't expect the old prices. Looking at about $7 more ($42) for a 4' probe and the longer ones more as well. Shipping will probably be in the range of $12 to $15. These are quality probes that folks use to rave about. My methods separate these probes from the run of the mill stuff out there today. Mig welded, not brazed.....Some will tell you that brazing doesn't get the metal as hot but I have been welding for 40 years and when you braze something it has to be cherry red to get the metal to flow and bond. Mig is a very localized heat that bonds the metal instantly without "drawing" the temper. The proof is in the pudding folks. Email me at jaken@hughes.net if interested in a probe and I'll see what I can do.
