Ben: I am definitely interested, sent you a PM. Do you know if the CHILDS is a last name or meaning a children's fire extinquisher. The former seems most logical. Waiting to hear from you.

BTW, why would you want to play on a fire and why would you need to turn yourself upside down? Strange mental picture here.

The jar fits into a metal housing which fits into the middle of the top of the extinguisher and contains the acid. when the extinguisher is turned over the lead weight opens or breaks the glass and you have an eruption of co2. was'nt sure if you knew.

hey boltguy, just sent you an email... and I thought the same thing when I pulled it out of the ground... my thoughts were "What?! a childrens fire extinguisher that used sulphuric acid?!!!! That is crazy"... but then I saw the quotes around CHILDS and knew there was further research needed...

I didn't know, THANX. I have had a number of the decorative "Hand Grenade" and Red Comet type mounted fire extenquishers but was / am totally unfamiliar with this one. I currently own one of the premier Fire Grenades and have posted pictures of it on this forum.
Neat item.
