Great day for digging,a bit of frost early and stayed cool all day.Went out to Tallboy143-{aka} Snakeboy's dump,my turn to drive,I moved ash, dirt and metal for 2-1/2 hours---and zip.

Course Snakeboy found a nice little crock,a Kickapoo, couple of flasks ( gave me one, it was broken). So I moved and dug some more, finally 2 cobalt poisons but screwtops,a couple of doz.olive jars, some really nice shards, assorted wildlife, etc.

Then there it was...a quart D.Knox Peterboro,Ont.great condition,added a flask with stopper,a couple of meds.Got a Henry Wampole-Philadelphia,first I'd seen,most of the one's we find are from Perth,Ont.

All round "a very good day was had by all".

Here's a few pix of them cleaned up:

At the front is a new one to me - Allen's Lung Balsam, I have found the exact same bottle with a different embossing though - Allen's Cough Balsam, I guess Allen's was big on Balsams

Close up of a nice little octagonal teal green no name and a Healey and Bigelow's Kickapoo Indian Oil in a nice aqua, it's in great shape, no glass sickness at all unlike the other 2 I've found. Any idea about age on these?

Close up of the two amber bottles - on the left is a neat looking British druggist bottle - L. Alexandre / 58 Westbourne Grove / London. W. - very crude and cool looking bottle too bad about the crack.
On the right is one I have not seen before either. Similar in shape to a Scott's Emulsion, this one reads Ferrol Emulsion. It has embossing down the sides too, Codd liver oil and something else, can't remember at the moment. Different though...

Hey Tony - We had a good day for sure. The London druggist bottle has a neat golden amber tint to it. We're going to hit the dump again this weekend, hopefully we'll be as lucky again.

Hey kastoo,
we were told this dump had being dug over for the last 30 years.
So we were really suprised when we found what we did,and are still finding stuff
I think this part was really burned off and then became a dump for small pieces of sheet metal.Once you get through the metal and into the ash you start running into small veins of bottles
Anyway I'll keep posting,we're going out again this Saturday!.
