Florida water was a 19th century Toilet Water product. The embossed bottle in aqua is worth about $20-$40 (more with label, less without). I own one of these.

A similar toilet water from the same era was Kananga Water.

This company exported florida water to England. I have dug a few over the years & have one in my shop at the moment - it is 6 inches tall but I have had a smaller size as well. Only ever seen the in aqua green glass over here.

Florida Water is a much-diluted version of perfume that falls into a category known since the Victorian era as " toilet waters." According to a web site I found, the name " Florida Water" refers to " the fabled Fountain of Youth said to have been located in Florida." This very interesting and unusual site indicates Murray & Lanman are still producing it today and that it is a popular product use " in rituals of home protection and spiritual cleaning, to scent bowls of water set out for the spirits of the dead" !!! Here' s the website for the curious:

Good luck! --Andy
