Acquired a clear 1/2 pint Ball Ideal, with the underline L.  The date, July 14, 1908 is on the reverse heel area, the bottom has a number 7 and the neck area has a backwards 1.  It has the wire and lid.

When I've looked at the ones on EB, none mention the 1908, or the underline L and, on most, the Ball Ideal is off center (on mine it is centered).  Can you tell me if this one is less common or any info would be great.  Thanks!

This appears to be Redbook 203, one of the earlier Ball Ideal varieties made ca. 1915 - 1923.  Valued in clear at $8 - $10, while in Ball Blue would bring $50 - $75.  Actually, a bit more desirable than what you're seeing on eBay.  -Tammy
