1 GAL. slug plate jug - 5/13/2008 2:56:53 PM    cobaltbot Posts: 1682 Joined: 4/7/2006 From: Delta, PA Status: offline Mother's Day weekend was also good for yardsales, and even though it rained Saturday morning it was still a good time to go as it keeps the crowds down and you definitely want to hit those indoor church ones.  I've never dug or bought a slugplate jug so I talked this one down to $6 from $8 dollars.  I will pick up the plain ones out in the woods if they are SCA, some of the older one's are kinda crude. I got the 5 cent halfpint milk for $1.  The slugplate reads PHONE AND MAIL ORDERS A SPECIALTY/ John J. Finn WINES AND LIQUORS/ HARRISBURG, PA. and 1 GAL. up on the neck.  It's clear but has just a bit of manganeze in it. I have seen a few of them posted here on the forum, but they are certainly something that does not appear often.
