here is a schnapps that my father dug when i was 16yrs old and diggin with him it has that funny repair piece i have seen it called a pinch when the bottle was made real nice olive green

check out the iron pontil on it has almost all of it thanks bob
all the stuff you see around the bottom is some kinda putty and wax my dad used so it wouldnt fall over in earth quake

hi everyone thanks for the comments  and hey caldigs we dug around 1st and market street used to be a stage coach stop found a 2 seater pulled a few hostters and lots of black glass  we also dug around san fernando street best dig ever had was on minnesota and lincoln ave by the library my dad and me and his freind got a scroll flask and a wounsers indian root bitters usa but it was cracked about 4 inches from the shoulder down major crier.

hey doug yes it is now on the second row middle of shelf  never to be sold will give to my son when its time

hey capsoda yes i am sorry forgot  it is embossed (udolphowolfe's schiedam aromatic schnapps) sorry i should have said that

Nice bottle Bob.And even better your dad dug it and you have the memories ,and our passing it on to your son. .Now thats cool. Hope my boy keeps his intrest in these old bottles.Thanks for sharing and good luck diggen and finding Bob.

hey lordbud i was at the show in vallejo met a few people me and my father used to dig with daryl dunlevee used to work for pge our lst name is thorp that would be robert and robert jr and me the 3rd my poor son is the 4th its his problem now just kidding well let me know i might have met you

I worked for PG&E for 33 years and dug TONS of bottles with Darryl Dunlevy. We would set up barricades wherever we wanted and dig away, especially under 280. HAR! Several good western flasks out of one little privy was very memorable.

ya my dad worked for i think 29 years in the stockton ave yard in san jose he did the same also had guys in the pole dept go out to a dig site they marked the asphalt and the guys would drill the starter hole about 2 feet down for them we would go in that evening and do the dig and when finished we filler up and put down new asphalt that was left for us , i too remember digging under 280 area down by the san jose water department i know daryl found a great flask there dont remember what one but remember it was about 3 grand back in the 70s i hd got a few out  of that creek area alot of umbrella inks well nice to hear from you send me your name if your from the ssan jose yard he proply know you they called him polar bear bob see ya thanks bob
