I think that the key to the label is in the statement  "Lable has been added".  Doesn't state that it has the Original label.  I would expect the original label on a 1840 bottle to show a lot more wear and discoloration.

       Bunch of skeptics! I think I seen one of those labels on a decksweeper at the maritime museum

The label says something about colds. I'm not too sure the word "colds" was used much back then. I believe the common words of the day were Catarrah or Consumption or Chillblains.  Those labels look like they were just printed last week.
