I dug a privy today in Steubenville Ohio. It seemed like it would be great. We found a broken log cabin biters bottle and just about every other good bottle broken too. I did come up with a nice cork top fruit jar and a steubenville medicine. I also found a brown's iron bitters and a heinz no.37 jar, parker's hair restorer. and  kemp's balsam Leroy, new york. If any on can help me out on the fruit jar it would be apprecciated. By the way check out the pics of the broken I believe to be Jefferson glass water pitcher

Nice little collection. Is the dig over or do you still have more dirt to move. Is that a soda on the left? What kind? Hope you fine more.

Does the fruit jar have any embossing on it??

Looks like an old "wax sealer".

Nice finds. Looks like a good haul to me. Could have been better but could have been alot worse.

the squat soda is an hw buffum from pgh pa and the fruit jar is a hinge mold cork top no embossing. we did find some nice pieces of flasks one that was from frank glass in pgh and had a cannon on the one side and union clasped hands on the other. I'm going out Friday to do another in Steubenville. Maybe this one will have been used by someone who wasn't as proficient at breaking the bottles!
