I picked up a local yearbook from the Keystone State Normal School at Saylorsburg yesterday. I was hoping to find a picture of a woman I knew who graduated from there around that time. She wasn't in the yearbook, but when the guy said $5, I didn't care. It was mine!
In 1928, the name was changed to Kutztown State Teacher's College. In 1960, it became Kutztown State College and in 1983 it became Kuztown University of Pennsylvania.
Old yearbooks are wonderful, as there are a lot of references to people's personalities.
I thought I'd share a couple with you... maybe more later if anyone is interested.

Amazed at the amount of information that is listed. Pretty cool if you ask me! how about posting a female?

Going to drag out my uncles  from 1928. I know what you mean about these things. It's a window into a different time. A different world!

Yes, but also the same world... a lot of personal references that make them so much more real. Lots of personal jokes that we can only imagine what they mean.

All those good personal jokes that belong to the Class of 1917... kind of like bottle forum jokes, no?  I wish I could get to the bottom of the fish joke, because there have been a few references to it in this book so far.

psychodoodle,
These are Great!!
I would love to have been able to follow these folks and see how they did with their lives.!
Some of my favorite picks to read from very old newspaper obituaries.....very colorful speech and quaint mannerism to describe each person's personality.
Thanks so much for posting these!!
Regards,
