I just acquired this Odd Milk Bottle and can't find out anything about it. It says on the front "Thatcher Pryoglaze bottle, Fused Colors in Glass". The rear reads Salute to New Orleans 1718, 1937, New Orleans Dairy Industry Exposition.  I assume it was given out at the Exposition to advertise their process of labeling bottles. Can anybody tell me what I've got, as to rarity, and value?  Any Information will be apprecaited

The picture you posted only shows the top half of the bottle , or at least that is all I can see of it on my screen . I can't tell you how rare it is , but in my thirty years of collecting I have never seen one , but then again I have not been to many bottles shows over the years either . I will interested in reading the comments you will receive pertaining to this bottle. Would like to see a good picture of it as well .

Thanks Richard ! I can not figure out why I could see only the top half in both pictures . That is a great looking bottle , and the first I have seen of it . I would think it would be a good one . Thanks again for the pics .

Lobeycat, Thanks for fixing my pictures. I just got a new computer, and I'm like Dan Boone with a new Pontiac. I found this bottle at an Estate Sale of an elderly lady whose family ran a big dairy farm.

Got a reply from the gent. He runs a site dedicated to Milks. This was his reply....
Hi,I guess these messages get thru although I get a message they do not-thank you for emailingpictures of the Thatcher milkbottle-looks great-I value this bottle between $200-$500 depending on placeit is for sale-sometimes auctions go good sometimes not anyhow-I would pay $250 plus $10.00 shipping-thank you for sharing,John Tutton----- Original Message ----- If you intend to sell it I'd personally list it on ebay with a reserve or a high starting price and see how it goes. Your pics are perfect and with a good listing I'd bet it does better than his offer. Let me know if you want his email address and I'll send it to you in a personal message.

Lobeycat,  Thanks for going to all your help.  I think I'll hang on to it for a while, but you know it will end up on E-bay before Christmas.  When I sell it I'll send 10% to this forum. Mike

My pleasure Papa! Nothing but a couple emails, happy to do it. I'll tell you what....I'll  PM you his email anyway and maybe you can let him know when or if you list it. Like I said he was pretty excited when I first contacted him.
