Hi, newbie here. I just got into metal detecting about a month ago but the funny thing is I've been finding quite a bit of old bottles along the way, which is neat because I love all old things.
I found this today and because of all the markings on the bottom was able to find the patent for it:
http://www.google.com/patents?id=aKBzAAAAEBAJ&pg=PP2&lpg=PP2&dq=D116915&source=web&ots=xlkc-4TY6e&sig=tDoB4dBIEpruYuGwR7o_QAjxpSk&hl=en&sa=X&oi=book_result&resnum=4&ct=result#PPA1,M1

Guess my main question is this. Even if it were somewhat rare (haven't been able to find any like it), I imagine it is worthless because half the top is broke off?
Do bottles only have any value if completely intact?
Thanks for any responses to this.

Thanks for the response, that's what I figured.
But what does it mean by "Its a federal law liquor bottle"?

It means that it is a post-Prohibition bottle.  Bottles with "Federal Law Prohibits..." were made between 1933-1964.
