I'm so glad i've finally found a place where i can ask someone a question about this pepsi bottle i found. I don't have a picture of it but i'll try to give a good description of it. It's stamped on the bottom the year 1976 and it's a 1.5 litre bottle. I've found lot's of info on two litre bottle's but not 1.5. I'm guessing it was used until about 1983 since the cap tell's you to look under it to win, so i did and it said the contest expires on 1983. The pepsi logo is painted on. There's some other printing on the bottom but i'm not sure what it says since i have to bottle at home. My husband collects all kinds of soda pop stuff and it would be neat to know how much this might be. Thanks for your time.

Hello and welcome to the forum. Those were real popular in the very late 70s and early 80s when everything was supposed to go to the metric system.

They were addvertised with larger than normal bags of chips as the "Big Gulp and the Big Grab". Kinda goofey sounding but I'm sure they sold plenty of them.

In really good shape they are worth about $10 and are a very colorful addition to a soda bottle collection.

Thanks so much for your help. It's nice to know the value of it. It's in really good shape and i got it at a garage sale for fifty cents. So my fifty cents really did pay off. Now that i know that this bottle is worth about ten dollars i wonder what the rest of my hubby's collection is worth. Thanks again.
