Here's two nice West Tenn bottles from yesterdays haul. Dr Pepper ACL (I Know I too have had a dozen truck loads ) but this is the only one I have seen with Memphis Tenn on it. I think this was short lived sometime in the 60's. The other is a Dodger beverage it has always been a hard one to get here for some reason.

Got a question on Dr Peppers - what does the 10 2 4 mean? I always wondered that and never looked it up.
Love all the stuff you found!!!
Thanks!
Kate

Unless my memory is totally wrong it was the slogan for the 3 times a day you needed to drink a Dr Pepper "10-2-4 " .  bob

There was a Dr. Walter Eddy in the 1920's famous for a book on how people can keep their energy up during their day. He suggested that people would get an energy boost by having a sugary snack between meals at specific times when energy levels dropped: 10 am, 2 pm, and 4 pm.

Dr. Pepper picked up on the idea and may have even paid Dr. Eddy for using it.

COOL! MY FAMILY RAN A STORE IN THE 1950s AND I REMEMBER A CLOCK ON OUR KITCHEN WALL THAT HAD THE 10-2-4 ON IT WITH DR. PEPPER ON IT ALSO. WONDER WHAT THAT WOULD BE WORTH NOW? MAYBE $50-$100 MINT?

Thanks for the info! Glad I put the numbers in the right order, too. Great clock! When did they stop using 10 2 4? Late 70s-early 80s? I remember going to see Cats on Broadway in the late 90s and all the old giant garbage was, I would guess, 1982 garbage. I remember Sugar Corn Pops and Sugar Smacks! Oh yes - the dump is a time capsule no matter how new or old!
