Madman I think also. Just a question on how many different varieties are there of these bottles? Most books list 2. I have 3 but I'm sure its just cause its even more common hahah. Any way...how many are there? 1. For Home Use 2. For Brewing Rootbeer at home 3. I'm pretty sure I've seen amber too. Also the screw top version I saw once was embossed horizontally. Here's nice group a saw on ebay but no browns. First one smoke colored. Second odd size just embossed HIRES/ EXTRACT, two gallon ? maybe. Last two embossed HIRES EXTRACT/ FOR HOME USE, for one gallon? who knows. I used to make Hires homemade rootbeer for the wife and kids when I was CG lightkeeper in the 70's. Also used to make Blackberry and Chokecherry wine sometimes.
