I picke these up at a flea Market today for 15.00 The first one I like alot THE WEIR, never seen one like this before. The second is a Putnam Lightning 624,wtih a ground lip, the third one is a Masons S patent . Are these pretty common , did I spend to much?.....Thanks for any help. Jay

This is too funny.  I just posted a crock/jar in new to collection that looks very similar but has a "daisy" top.  I did find one weir jar/crock when I googled daisy crock it was for sale at 95.00. My Auction find: paid 40.00.

Nice find for the money.....the crock is well worth what you paid...the lid and bail all look to be in great shape....

The Lightning pint is probably a product jar....with no side embossing that I can see.

The quart Masons S Patent is a good find too. There is one or two of them on eBay right now.

The money you paid was well worth it....congrats on those finds.

Flea markets in the summertime are the best.....esp here in upstate NY...lots of history and some VERY rural towns...there is usually some good finds to be had.....I go out and about every Sunday morning.

I just looked up the fruitjar redbook.........the cheapest one is 100.00 thats alot for a book, anyone have a cheaper option or book that I can look up values, I saw quite a few odd jars at another location and would like to make sure thay are not asking to much. Thanks Jay

I found the webpage to order the Redbook #10 for 40.00 .........so I did..... I am now hooked on all glass old and new especially Jars and Marbles.Thanks for everyones help one this site its a great forum.........Jay

Jay, $40 is the going price for the Redbook - should include shipping for that.  Small price to pay when you find that $1,000 jar for 10 bucks! -Tammy

I was told the Lightning jar,(in clear),with the lid and hardware is worth $10.00,other colors are more.I had one without the lid,but broke it.
