I have just bought a bottle with A.B.Co. G 22 on the bottom and 7-B on the heel.  I understand this is from the "American Bottling Company" and that it is a 26 oz. bottle.  Can anyone tell me what was in it and what might be the value?  I would love to post a pic but it won't let me upload now.  It is a clear 26 oz. bottle that looks like a modern 22oz.  It looks like a 4 piece bottle with air bubbles in the glass.  Thanks in advance!

But I have found where this bottle is over 100 years old.  Can you not tell me more?

no doubt steveo. It appears to be a beer bottle, applied/tooled crown top. The old A.B. Co. cranked them out in the millions, meaning it's pretty common. Common color (aqua). no interesting embossing is going to keep this one in the price range mentioned above.
Most of the bottles we deal here on the good old AB.N are over 100 years old, in most cases well over. Most antique bottles, like 92.634% of them are common and fall into the 1 to 5 dollar range. Don't be discouraged though pal. Study up on them a bit, get familiar with the shapes and the colors as well as the names and products they carried and get yourself to hunting. They turn up when least expected. Watch out for repros. like Wheaton's and stay away from the junk and you'll be on your way.

well said lobeycat and right on the money. I thought the same thing about bottles 4steve44, when I started. Its old which means it has to be valuable. 3 months later i was tossing 100 year old ketchup bottles in the recycle bin.
