Carmen, The bottle that you have is listed in the Baltimore Bottle Book as a poison bottle.  It probably contained some powdered product to rid insects, rats, mice, etc.  I had information on the exact contents but have misplaced it.  I will try and dig up a picture of the label that was on the bottle and post it for you.
