I have an hutchinson soda from Cedarburg from a proprietor called G. Banse. Not so unusual (although I think it is a farily rare variant). The bottle has an odd little anomaly at the hub. There is a tiny 'fold' on the surface. My guess is that the liquid molten glass (the parison) simply did not fill quite tightly into the bottom of the mold leaving a tiny gap. Not enough to scrap it but an interesting flaw. Here's the whole bottle. The flaw is on the bottom at right. Attachment (1) Post #: 1

I thought this posting had gone by the way of old blue cyber search pages - likely to never be seen again. Unfortunatly Red, I do not have another example and this is out of my main collection. If Minnesota has a few examples, maybe more will turn up. (Although I think it is a flaw in the glassblowing and not the mold, so there would be no reason to see it on any particular bottle. Rather, my guess is that it randomly shows up on any blown bottle). (in reply to RED Matthews) Post #: 7
