This bottle has been sitting in my grandparents basement for as long as they have owned the house. Its has a sealed date on the bottom edge that reads Sealed 1-11-14.

Heres a pic

It was a war bond milk bottle slogan used during WWII. I am not sure about the date.

Here is an url with just the top going for $9.95

ORIGINAL WAR BONDS MILK BOTTLE LID WWII. ORIGINAL unused milk bottle lid from the war bonds drive of WWII.  Says “keep ‘em flying” on the top with nice eagle below.

Price $9.50

Joel, a lot depends on the graphics and of course how scarce it is. If you have one that was from a large dairy that had a lot of them then it won't be worth as much but if you have one from a small dairy there might not be many of them. In my opinion if you can pick up a nice war bond bottle with good graphics it should be worth atleast $100. Maybe you can talk them down a little.

My grandmother had thought it might have been from WWII, she said it was sitting in her old basement when she bought the house. Do you happen to know the value of this one? She said she would never sell it but she would like to know the value.

TNCgal,
I was googling with you. Sorry ... it's just Vermont humor.

Some questions are pretty easily researched, as most of us do it quickly and post. It struck me funny you telling them to google it, as we all wish most people would do. Finding out what your looking for through the research is half the reward for me.

Thanks for the link.

Joel

Joel, I thought you probably were joshin', but I've found that many people don't know about Google, or even how to use the various searches within it.  I see many questions posted on this forum, as well as other boards I frequent, that could be found with a bit of simple research.  Also, it sometimes difficult to *read* meanings into written words, without seeing the facial expressions behind them.   ;-)
