I concur with Mark, the maker was most likely the Mount Vernon Glass Company. I have not found any shards (yet) of the Anderson Cough Drops bottle but strongly suspect them to be a MtVGC product. An interesting side note is that Anderson Cough Drops were heavily advertised in a Rome, NY newspaper (14 miles from Vernon) in the early 1830s. The Utica Glass Works was in the business of making crown window glass. The Utica Glass Works did not stay in business very long and was eventually purchased by the Oneida Glass Factory (makers of cylinder window glass) in Vernon, NY. The Oneida Glass Factory was in the same village as MtVGC (other side of town) but they were not associated with one another. Oneida eventually closed down in the (late 1830s early 40s) and was moved to Cleveland, NY by A. Landgraff & Sons.
