Anyone game for an Auction? I figure that it's better to give to the forum than to sell on eBay and it will cost me about the same. The forum and it's members have been more than good to me and it's again time to give something back. In addition to the obvious, I will provide free shipping and insurance. PayPal or any other negotiable instrument will be accepted, no food stamps please.

I am prepared to offer the larger of the two variants of this heavily embossed bimal milk glass whiskey to the highest bidder, shills welcomed.

She is embossed within a six pointed star with a leaf and vine embellishment as follows;
BELLE OF ANDERSON / OLD / FASHION / HAND / MADE / SOUR / MASH

With the exception of one pin head sized flake on a rear fluted panel of the neck area and an in-making lip character line, this is bottle has no issues and it is promised to light up any shelf. I was fortunate enough to have acquired a labeled example so here's your chance to have one of mine to call your very own!

Sooooo, let the bidding begin! Do I hear $100?,  $75.00?, $65.00?  OK $10 bucks it is!

I didn't mention how long this auction would run because I didn't really think about it.
I have made too many executive decisions today, mostly bad. Any suggestions?
Gary

Advice: Something you can't make work for yourself  but you hope can work for someone else.

You say it's the larger version, but I am not familiar with the dimensions of either one.. I bid 3 dollars per inch of bottle height...

Uhhh, that comes out to $24.38. Perhaps on another site which will remain nameless, Matt will allow backwards bidding but here it's customary to bid it up. So in an effort to foster good will as well as keeping you in good standing with everyone, I will correct your error by proxy and accept your bid of $32.50 which comes out to $4.00 per inch.

That's right folks, this little gem stands 8 1/8" tall, was hardly used at all! As a matter of fact it was owned by a little old lady back in the late 1800's and only taken out of the cabinet on Sundays after Church and on occasion for medicinal purposes. Would I lie?

I accept your adjustment of my offer, but feel compelled to include a commission for the observant one.. $4.33 per inch tall.. I stink at math... is that more than last time?

HOLY %#$^%*, I can't imagine anyone out bidding you at $4,455.37! I will deliver this personally to your doorstep Friday and pick up the cash. Oh wait, that mean that you have to talk to me or worse yet,  MEET ME!

Forget it, I am blocking your bid, it will put me in a higher tax bracket. Let's just make it $35.18.

Thank you, you're the best shill I have ever had!

Congrats Charlie, you just got yourself a white bottle. If you don't like the color you can always paint it! Thank you very much for your generosity. Gary
