I've been absent from posting a long time! I went out to my 1900-1930's dump again today. I knew of a "seam" of bottles, but I'd been putting it off as it required some serious shoveling, and in the heat and humidity I haven't had the gumption to do it. Well, a storm blew through today and cooled things off considerably, so off I went. Wouldn't you know it, as soon as I started finding bottles, the rain came again. But then a deep green bottle neck started poking out, and I wasn't about to let some rain wash down a bunch of mud and rocks and knock the neck off a potentially nice bottle. So I dug in the rain. Turned out to be a good thing. The green neck belonged to a beautiful green pontilled whiskey. I don't find ANY pontils in this dump, so this was a treat!! I also uncovered a rare gem in the milk world, and MVA Milk. There were 3 different bottle produced by this dairy. I've found the other two in small quantities each (5-8), but only one of this variety, and it was all busted. This one, however, is spotless. I sold one of it's sisters for over $300.00. Gotta decide to keep or sell this one.... Anyhow, here's a picture of the two. Below I'll post my other finds Tim
