Hello guys and dolls!

Perhaps there is more to milk glass than mid to late 1800's pharmacy, bitters and utilitarian bottles. I have a new addiction, still white, but a bit older.

Again, all pontiled with applied ring, lip and handles. The mug was footed but it sank under the weight and now it looks like a disk on the bottom.

The creamer is South Jersey, the decanter is American and the mug....still trying to figure that out.

Keep your eyes open for me, I am looking for early blown milk glass!

Thanx, Gary

Yeah, so do I. There are still two pieces that I need to pick up, a larger marraige flask and an ink.

Pontiled, probably late 1700's to early 1800's. I have shown these on here before, they're growing on me.

That is some top-notch killer stuff, Gary. I wouldn't mind finding one or two of those decorated pieces myself. I like anything that is decorated in the Pennsylvania German style. I can understand why they are growing on you.

One of these days, I'll post a picture of my 1820 Pennsylvania German blanket chest. Right now, it is buried behind some other stuff upstairs while I do some renovations. It's going in my new bedroom once I get it done.  ~Jim

Such interesting designs on these pieces; makes you think of the hard work put into making one of these. I'm terrible at ceramics so I'd hate to see what would happen if I had one of these...
