I have the following flask.Embossed ALBANY GLASS WORKS in a horse shoe semi circle and then under that it is embossed with ALBANY N Y.On the reverse side is a clipper ship. The glass is hand blown, looks very old unlike the FISLERVILLE JENNY LIND FLASK repo and has a deep pontil like mark 3/16 of an inch deep the size of a nickle. Question is: The flasf  has the look of a GI - 30 Mckearnin but has the embossing of a GI- 28.When I look on line at other web sites for original pictures (there are not many)The GI-28 is a cleaner looking flask the GI- 30 on the other hand I would say has a crude look to it.This flask i have is crude the embossing is hardley disearnable. the only way to read it is to hold it up to a light. The clipper ship on the rear if you didnt already know what it was you were looking at you would never guess what it was.I have taken pictures, quality lacks but you can get the general idea.First here is a picture of an original GI-30.

Damn it! That yellow one got me pretty excited! Don't do that.

Yours looks like a reproduction. I am not an expert on these, but the shape, lack of detail, and base all point to a 1930s reproduction.

EG is correct.
Lack of detail was due to these flasks being made in a plaster mold made from an original Albany flask. I have 7 different colors and 2 different mouth finishes . Most have a plain sheared lip...and are either smooth base or have that circular "hole" in the base...to simulate a pontil.
The maker of some of these fakes is unknown but it is generally known that Clevenger Bros. also made some...May explain the different base and mouth finishes...
