Amber Brown Bottle w/Cork Help?? - 2/1/2007 3:37:16 PM    Coyote2   Posts: 5 Joined: 2/1/2007 Status: offline This bottle measures approximately 10 1/4 inches tall to the top of the lip and approximately 5 inches wide.  The mouth or opening is approximately 2 1/8 inches wide.  There are tiny air bubbles and a very fine seam on 2 sides that appears to go all the way up to the mouth.  It has a cork.  On the bottom there is a "14" then in the center is a circle around a diamond with, I believe an "I" inside, on the right of this is "0" and centered underneath is "10."  I found it in a box that came to me from my grandmother's estate over 11 years ago.  What significance are these numbers and diagram on the bottom of the bottle? I have several other different types of bottles that seem to have numbers and symbols also.  Can you determine what the bottle was used for, age, etc. by these numbers alone?  Any information on this bottle and the questions above would be greatly appreciated.  I am certainly not a bottle expert, lol, and in addition to all of the bottles I am finding in boxes, we live on a large farm where a pond was just dug and have found several others intact.  I would just like to know the best way to go about determining age, use, maker, etc.  Okay, the picture of marks for this bottle will be in a separate post due to the fact that I can only add the one to this post.
