American Pot Lid - 7/3/2006 9:02:49 PM    sidney   Posts: 1 Joined: 7/3/2006 Status: offline Hi, I was wondering if anyone could tell me the value of an american pot lid.  It is from Royce Esterly, Heimstreet, Troy NY.  It has an eagle and a shield on it, and says "cleansing and preserving the Teeth, Clorine detergent and orris dentifrice. I was able to find a picture of it on the internet (I do not have a camera).  This is the same one, except mine is in better shape and has black print instead of blue. This lid as you know came in 2 colors in this version and dates from around 1855.There are 3 other versions from the same company with name changes when different partners came or left..
