This may seem like a dumb question, but about how long does it take to turn a clear bottle amethyst in the sun? I have an ink bottle that appears to have a pale purple tint to it and I put it in the sun to see if it darkens up. Would an ultraviolet lamp quicken the process up?
How do I know which bottles are going to turn purple in the sun? I have lots. I understand that none of the colored ones would, but would all the clear ones turn?
