Anyone familiar with SANFORDS INK bottles? - 11/15/2011 7:15:43 PM    towhead Posts: 2679 Joined: 12/31/2004 From: GREAT LAKES Status: offline I'm wondering, if the centered number on the bottom of the bottle indicates the size...I have these two, one quite large, 3 1/4" tall, w/number 40 on the bottom, and the more typical size one: 2 1/2" tall, w/number 27 on the bottom...??? I do think you are onto something, though. All the Carter's round inks I've dug have "2 1/2" on the base; I never thought about it, maybe that's the height? _____________________________ Looking for bottles from Glen Ridge, Montclair, Bloomfield, Orange, East Orange, West Orange, South Orange, and if I like 'em, any other bottles from Essex County NJ! Yeah, the small one seems like a pretty common size. But, had never seen a larger one, and then noticed the numbers on the bottom and thought maybe it indicates size...
