Medicines dont typically have Bottling Co on them (assuming thats what that embossing is). Maybe a Veronica water type product.

Nothing I can recall seeing before Bram, but there's  some nice age in that dump I see.

thanks Gunther, I hadn't thought of that. If you picture a crude CA Richards, and put Bottling Co on it, what type of bottle might that be? Maybe you're right about a Veronica water, what about a whiskey?

Been diggin - Where do you dig, are you near Boston? It's funny, the guy I have been digging this dump with is obsessed with digging a cobalt skul :) I told him I've been digging 30 years and havn't dug a shard of one so dont hold your breathe. Still, you never know

I searched the embossing on the 6279 medicines I currently have in my database for the  string "TTLING". One benefit of an electronic database is that takes about 5 seconds.
No matches found. Doesnt mean its not a medicine, but would mean its pretty uncommon.
I dont really list bitters so it could be one of those.

Bram..I dig in mid coast Maine from Belfast to Wiscasset .  Sometimes I go down to the Kennebunk dumpsite. Let me know if you want to get together for a dig sometime...and I will find the skull..oh yes I will find the skull

Ain't nobody ever going to dig a cobalt skull....ever! For one thing I think they're English bottles, like the subs and goose necks. So if someone did happen to throw one in the dump, and it happened to survive (they are pretty fragile) the first thing you'll need to dig it out is your passport. One has to guess not many where thrown into crappers or dumps in the first place.

I calculated my odds of winning the lottery and found they are essentially the same whether I buy a ticket or not.
I figure maybe I'll unearth a skull poison this weekend and I'm not even going digging
Never say never.

Lobey, what makes you think the skull is English when it's known to be a new england bottle?  By the way...I will dig a skull poison.  I agree the odds are high, but no higher than you accurately predicting what someone will or won't do.
