Anyone seen this pontil Civil War dug Sauce - 9/2/2010 4:55:47 PM    digger mcdirt   Posts: 1921 Joined: 8/8/2005 Status: offline This just came out of a Civil War campsite trash pit. I found it in Zumwalts food bottle book but can find nothing current. In 1980 the year of the book it was listed as rare and a value of $125. Anyone seen one sell lately I can't find out anything on it other than a few have been found on Sunken Civil War ships. I noticed that the bottle that you have listed on page 63 is E. R. Dixie. There is also a picture of it on pg. 60 and the top is different from the picture above. I don't know enough to discribe it.
