Your second question first - go ahead and ask away! There is probably somebody on this site who will have answers to your various Augusta questions. We' re all happy to try! Regarding Dave the Slave Pottery - it is a very famous type of pottery that was made by a semi-literate slave. He often signed and dated his pottery, and sometimes even wrote simple rhyming verses on the large jugs and jars. I remember one of these beauties being appraised on Antiques Roadshow for over $5,000 (I don' t remember the exact amount). So the burning question is - do you have one of these special, rare pieces?? If so, PLEASE post a picture for all of us to admire!
