The dealers just aren't coming out this year. Never saw the flea markets this desolate. Has to be the price of gas/groceries keeping the good dealers away. Just a few years ago I'd be draging around from table to table, aisle after aisle two or three clinking bags of glass. Now I'm lucky to find one of my old connections set up with a table full of bottles. Today was such a day. One guy one table, so sad. second stop of the day so I didn't get there until quarter of ten so he'd been pretty well picked over. I thought hard about buying a nice Millville Atmospheric pint with original clamp but he just wouldn't budge from the $75 price tag, can't say I blame him I guess. Determined not to go home empty handed again I picked through the few meds he had left and came up with these.
Kelly's Rheumatic Syrup and a Hale's Honey of Horehound and Tar. Only paid six bucks I figure they're worth $15-$20 easy. They might make good trade bottles. Probably end up in the attic with the rest Interesting anyway. Been scoping out a little dump about a half hour from the house that looks very promising. 1880's frags right on top, stone foundation about 100 feet away, very, very heavy undergrowth though. Just have to search for the energy and motivation.....

I gotta agree with you Lobey on the Flea Markets.  Went all over a large Flea Market  in Macon yesterday.  Had to look hard to find a few bottles.  Plenty of the South of the Border veggies and dollar store items, but just no bottles and glass to dig through.  And Thanks for the info on the Hale's Horehound.  There's one at an Antique Mall listed for $4.  I'll probably pick it up next time if its still there.  Had no idea if it was worth before.
