I found this jar in my dump during the fall. Can anyone tell me anything about it? Jars are not my specialty.

If I am not mistaken...that is a #234.....of the older series of jars produced by Ball Brothers, this is probably the most diverse of almost all of the series...color,,,variations in embossing....wow...a long list.

It is old....between 1896 and 1916...they were produced....very common oder jar. The color variations are pretty big...but the BALLL MASON (in my opionion) were the most beautiful of the jars that were made in amber....very very nice...

Is there anything else embossed on the back of ther jar, or on the base?

Nice find,,,,hope you uncover a rare one......oh yes,,,you jar there....probably $12 - $17.

David

David, thank you for the information. The only other embossing was XIII on the base of the jar.
