These are my take home picks from our last dig. I can not find any info on the Central Brewing Co. New York bottle, with a picture of a horse head being held by the reigns. The other beer is a Wacker & Birk Chicago and the meds are KATZ & BESTOFF PHARMACISTS NEW ORLEANS and BELL-ANNS for INDEGESTION (brown bottle) from Orangeburg, New York. The only listing for the New Orleans bottle was a cobalt one. Any information on the Central Brewing Co. beer is greatly appreciated. Happy digging,  Marvin

Hello Marvin,

I did not find much, but there is a Central on the bay.

Here's a story from Prohibition time that I believe is the same Central.

Thank you very much for the information and the reply.  Man, that was one cool story and it dates my bottle pretty well. My bottle has no prohibition wording on it so it has to date back to the 20's according to the article.  Thanks again and happy digging.   Marvin

I like the New Orleans Pharm. The lip treatment looks like something from 1910-1920 but it is cool. I love druggist bottles!
