Big Bill's Best Bitter's figural decanter - 9/14/2010 11:18:18 PM    Steve/sewell Posts: 4282 Joined: 1/23/2010 Status: offline Big Bill's Best Bitter's figural decanter 11.75”H. Amber orange coloration, a fat gentleman motif, with a tooled lip, and a smooth base . The bottle is American made in the 1880-1890 time period. This is a near mint example of the figural variant of Big Bills Best Bitters. These are quite rare and this one is really nice.The bottle depicts a rather chubby gentlemen wearing a tails vest and a top hat leaning on a stump.The traveling salesmen for the bottled version of these common bitters gave these to merchants to market the Big Bills Best bitter's.The man is an exact duplicate in looks to the one depicted on the label on the bottles.Does anyone else here at the forum have any additional information on this decanter.I have no clue how I even aquired this bottle but I am glad I did.
