Does any one know if there were ever any Big Red bottles made either ACL or others?  I remember drinking them as a kid growing up, but do not remember if it was in bottles or not.  I grew up in Texarkana, so they may be from around that area.

Thanks
Matt

Seems to me I have at least one Big Red that I picked up visiting my sister in Houston years ago.  We got a bunch of bottles from an antique show she took us to.   Only thing is, all my bottles are in Tenn., so I can't post a photo, if I do have one, until I make it across the hill (what I call the mountain between N.C. & Tenn.).

But if I do make it over, and find I do have one - and don't forget it by then, I'll get a pic for you.

I have a Big Red 16 oz ACL with Red/White color. It is packed away someplace. I'll try to find it and post a picture.

Here is a picture of Big Red bottles and it's predecessor Sun Tang.

Cool!  now I know what to look for.  I would like to get one since Its probably the earliest soda I can remember drinking.  What areas were these bottled in?  Were they only in Texas?

They were mostly in Texas back when these bottles were made and also in Louisville KY area.As the link I posted says it started in Waco and was Sun Tang
red creme soda originally. By the way how did a boy from Texarkana turn into a Georgia Vol?????  That orange in your blood is supposed to be BURNT orange.

ROFL!!!  Its a loooong story!  Basicly I was born in Texas, moved to South Dakota, then Alabama, then Texarkana (where I spent most of my childhood), then I moved to TENNESSEE!! (GO VOLS!!!) Thats where I got interested in college football.  I then lived in Alabama again, then in Lexington, back to Bama, then LA (Lower Alabama) Now I live in Georgia! Whew! I guess you can say I moved arround a bit, luckily I mostly stayed in these SE States because I LOOOOOOOVE ice cold sweet tea, and you know you can't get that above the Mason-Dixon!
