So I don't know much about bottles, but I found this blue bottle in the remains of an old mill in Colorado. It's got a metal screw top with a Sharpe & Dohme label. It also has seams up the side of the bottle. I haven't taken the cap off because it still has liquid in it. It also has a the letter "M" on the bottom of the bottle in the middle and a "2" below it.

I'm just curious if anyone could identify what this is? I think it's really cool.

Welcome Danny,....From what I can see,....might be from the 30's?...Maybe later,...It's not my area of expertise, but Sharpe and Dohme made chemicals & pharmecuticals,...It may even contain poison, so be vr. careful with the contents. Good luck on your future bottle hunting.

As for the maker of the bottle:

M......................Maryland Glass Corporation, Baltimore, MD. (1907-c.1970s). Exact period of use uncertain, but verified on base of cobalt "Milk of Magnesia" bottle from circa 1950 (see next entry). Also, a similar mark is known on the base of mouth-blown amber beer bottles and an amber salve jar, c.1885-1895, and the maker in those cases is unknown. In some cases this may be the mark of the Mosser Glass Company (1971-to date), which of course is a much more recent mark.

I dug about 100 of these at a 1940s-50s dump near a horse farm years ago. Most had the white sharpe & domhe caps.I think it was something used on the farm.Rat poison,or animal medicine,or?
