Got this in the mail today from John (bubbas dad). The wife really loves it. I aquired enough Browny points to stay out of the dog house for months. Thanks John.

Hey Pat,

That is how I ended up with this one. My wife saw John's over my shoulder and went completely ape over it so I took a shot and John came through.

John is my HERO for the week.

That is one fantastic cobalt Onion Bottle! Got another one?! I have a Christo Cola Bottle put up some place quite similar to the shape of this one. Its is a light green I believe, regretfully not a cobalt color.

wish i had more but i don't. when ever i get a bottle i really like thats damaged i try to keep an eye out for a nicer one. i figure once it's in my collection i am half way there. a nicer one will come along sooner or later. in this case it took around 2 1/2 years. between my the first one and the second i only came accross one other perfection and it wasn't for sell. they may be alittle easier to find up north but not easy to find by any means.

I know how that is John. I am trying to put a site together showing some of the junk I have accumulated over the years. I have a soda illustrated in the pictures with an enormous hunk gone out of it. I am not ashamed of shelf pieces until , like you, I find either a better one or a good one. If you would like to see some of my junk, check out the link below. There is not a lot there to see yet, but there will be over the coming weeks.

Like that Jumbo also Zane, looked for a long time before I finally found one. I would like to have a better one though. Maybe we will both get lucky and come up with a dandy one. I like all the various sodas with the different figures on them. I have another six Hutches I am trying to get put on with the different figures on them. Have the pictures done but still have to get them on. IThe pictures really stink I am putting on there. I am doing them off my scanner. Once I get my other Computer fixed or get a new one, I will redo all pics with camera.

Hey Louis, Great site. You have some really nice bottles on it. Yours is the only other Dove Brand mustard I've seen. Mine doesn't have a lid though.

Hello Warren, is your Dove mustard like the one I have? I do not have the lid for mine either, sure wish I did. I am always watching for jumbo lids and the mustard lids as well. Mine is the only one I have ever seen of this particular variety. There is also a Dove mustard in a one pound size as well. It looks just like a Jumbo Peanut Butter Jar, only it has the kissing doves instead, and of course is embossed Dove Mustard. I believe this small one may be a little rare, but can not say for sure. Ran into a Frank Tea & Spice Collector a few years back, and informed him that I had this jar. He drove me crazy for a while trying to get me to sell it to him. He came down and took quite a few pictures of it. I know in this area the one pound size will sell for anywhere from fifty to seventy five dollars. I would like to have one, but I do not want one bad enough to spend that kind of money on it to get it. I can buy much better types of bottles for that kind of money. Did you notice the Jumbo Peanut Butter Bank? I had a chance to buy six of the green ones with thier original lids a few years back for six hundred a piece. Only problem was, I had to buy them all! Couldn't come up with the money to do so. I would have bought them if I could have.

Also, my apologies Warren for the terrible pictures I have on the siite. My computer I am on at the moment will not recognize my camera, and I have taken all the pics I have on there with my scanner. Once I get my other computer fixed, or buy a new one,  I will redo all the pictures with good ones. If I had not already started the site at the time my computer went down, I would have waited till it was fixed. I felt silly having an empty website sitting there without at least trying to put something on it for Folks to get an idea of what I was trying to accomplish.

Hello Craig, I am not sure what the value of the Elephant Bottle would be. I have not went to a bottle show since the early 70s. If I knew, I would be more than glad to tell you. My Wife tells me at times I am dumber than a rock, but dag gonnit, there are some things I know. I just never have an answer to any of her questions, that's all! I bought mine at a flea market in Richwood, Ky. about ten or twelve years ago. I gave fifteen bucks for it and was tickled to get it as I had been looking for one for quite a while. Cincinnati Soda's are my favorite area of collecting. The ones I have seen over the past couple of years are getting to be out of my price range, as well as any of the other collectable bottles of interest. If I can find out anything about the Elephant bottle, I will be sure to let you know. I know I Guy who sells a lot of Cincinnati soda's but he has never been willing to share much of his knowledge with me concerning the value of bottles.

Hey LC, Mine is just like yours. The reason you don't see them often is because it is a venders style mustard pot. it sits in a hole up to the ring just below the shoulder and had a lid with a hole for a cap with a brush in it.

Well, that is interesting as all get out Warren. I have never heard that before concerning this jar, although you are only the second Person I have ever discussed it. Might add that to the description of the jar if you have no objection to me doing it. I used to have a lot of the Frank Tea & Spice Jars up till last year. I sold off probably half of them. I still have a few more of them out in a box in the garage somewhere. When I find what I did with them, I will add them to the list of others.

Hey LC, The info is up there to be used. I used to have all the 1lb jars with all the different sayings including the Jubmo error jar and an light ice blue one. Kept the blue one, had to sell the others. I will start collecting them again as soon as I can get a house built.
