I just saw one at an antique shop today for $7. I knew it was a repro so I put it back. Maybe I should go buy it? Swizzle

I should also mention that I'm not sure if it was an applied lip but the top of the lip was ground. Swizzle

Tryed to look, even as a completed auction but couldn't bring up the pics.  What am I doing wrong?

Nothing... Sometimes, I think the seller pulls the photos right away... Eventually, tho, ebay will pull them even tho you can still access the page...

Well, I bought it. I don't think its a cleavenger or a wheaton and its sure not an original. The seam goes all the way to the top. Check out the video and tell me what you guys think. swizzle

it matters how the photos are hosted. I host my own so they are active until I delete them. A lot of people pull thier photos right after auction, I guess so others cant use them or to make space.

I like your movies but could you move the bottle a little slower? Its a bit hard to get a good look at it.
It looked like the lip was ground on the top, that seemed odd.

Yes the top lip is ground. My batteries are about dead so I can't take anymore video today. The reason I was moving the bottle so quick is because the camera I'm using only does 20sec. video clips. I believe after you hit the play button it changes into a pause button. See if you can't stop the video and take a better look. Hopefully that helps. Swizzle

I'm wondering why they would grind the top of the lip? Maybe it was chipped up and an indiviual did it? Maybe it was made that way to make it seem older?
Any ideas on that?

I just read something about that this morning. Clevenger used to throw out anything not up to par and then some guy started getting that stuff from them and cleaning them up for resale. Including grinding and polishing the imperfections. How wierd is that?
Or it could be the lip was real bad and an owner just did it themselves

I'm not sure about the lip myself. It is at a slight angle. I will post a few slowed down video's and try to cover the entire bottle better. (Waiting for the batteries to charge). If they were going to grind it down to hide damage wouldn't they try to make it look even? Maybe not. It's just bugging me that I can't find out who actually made this particular repro. Oh well that's part of the bottle bug disease. constant wonder of unknown things. Swizzle

SWIZZLE...tried to look at your pic/video - but it's gone. I have never seen nor heard of a EG Booze cabin with a ground lip. I just took a quick look through Haunton's book (Tippecanoe & E.G. Booze Too),  and didn't see any such examples noted either.Methinks someone tried to hide/repair some damage....???
