I have the same bottle. The dump that me and Andy dig at is a 1930-1970 era dump. That bottle is a screw cap. I was thinking maybe vineger?

Think some of those ridgy bottles were shampoo. Remember some from the 50's, plastic bottles hadn't got popular so ridges were to keep shampoo bottle from slipping from wet hands. Just a thought.

Hiya Andy4707. How tall is your bottle? It looks like one of the old style food coloring bottles, which were only 2 to 3" tall.

I also had one of these at a mid to late 50s site....The top what a tiny little hole for an opening, right? I was thinking like some kind of sauce. You know, like how hot sauce comes out in drops....Anyways, I decided to throw mine away - didnt catch my interest enough - Jon

Hi Guys!

You may not believe the answer, but the bottle actually contained cordial concentrate, and the name began with A, possibly Avoca, or another short word.

Cheers from Oz!
