I was digging in my back yard the other day and came upon a very old glass bottle.  I have included pictures for your review.
The bottle is approximately 1 inch wide on all sides, by 3 inches tall.

I live in Pittsburgh, and my house was built in 1949, but the houses near mine were built in the early 1900s mostly.

The bottle has a few small bubbles in the glass, and there are a couple small chips in the glass, otherwise it is in good condition.

After some washing with water and scrubbing the inside with an old toothbrush, I was able to make out the text...

"Acme Shoe Dressing
Water Price
The Wolff Chemical Co
PHILA.U.S.A"

A quick google search only yeilded an article from the NY times archives from 1902

Here are the links to the pictures of the bottle on my photobucket site.

Looks like your research has dated the bottle accurately..It looks like a hand tooled top and that date seems right.  If your neighborhod has some old houses you should be able to locate some more decent bottles close by. Keep digging...and welcome!
