Now that I am retired and able to travel my wife, Mary and I drove from Victoria, Texas to Brimfield, Mass a few weeks ago for the Brimfield antique show. It is a 30 hour drive and we took 4 days getting there, stopping at antique malls along the way in Tx, La, Ms, Al, Ga, Va, Pa, Ct and driving later into the night to make some miles.
This was our first time to visit the Brimfield show together, although Mary set up there with her brother about 35 years ago. I was able to get together $3000. cash for bottle buying, supposed to be for resale, so I was looking for bargains. I will post pictures of many of the bottles we brought back from this trip. There are 16 pics and I only know how to post one at a time so please be patient and let me finish before making comments. Thanks.
Jay

The first picture is blob top squat sodas. So much for "resale" I'm keeping most of these for my own collection.

Here are some blob top beers. These were all over the fields for under $10. I picked up the ones for $5 or less, especially with stoppers.

A couple of amber Cokes. Didn't see any of these at Brimfield. These came from antique malls. Baltimore, Md and Greenwood, Miss with a lot of extra embossing WRIGHT'S C.E.W. Has a crack in lip but does anyone know if that one is scarce?

Historical flasks. All are open pontil. Olive green cornucopia/urn, Hunter Fisherman calabash, aqua schroll flask. Again, these are going in my collection. My collection of historical flasks almost doubled from 4 to 7.

Jay, what's the cotton reel in the back row, 3rd from the right, say on it?   I might be interested in that one...

Medicines. The large one gallon cobalt bottle is embossed JNO. WYETH & BRO. PHILADA on the shoulders. 3 piece mold and nicely whittled and mint condition. That blue bottle was sitting in a booth full of furniture with no other bottles. I told the dealer, "I don't really want to carry this around but would you sell it for $15?" They said, "I guess you'll have to carry it."
The teal bottle and odd colored green Bromo are on ebay right now.

SELDEN'S WIGWAM LINIMENT N. Y. 6" aqua oval OP.
This bottle was the only bottle in a booth of sports collectibles. I don't know how a baseball card dealer found a bottle like this but I knew I wanted it. I made a point of looking for things that didn't belong, like this single bottle in a sports card showcase. It is still dirty from the dust and grime that have accumulated over 150 years, still has the original cork. I think it will clean up near mint with just a little washing.
Gunther, are you familiar with this one?

Here is another collection I just started. Radams Microbe Killer jugs, but they must be No. 2 for me to buy them.
Seriously, if anyone has a No 1 jug they want to trade I would be interested.

Here are the Bitters and such.
Dr Townsends Sarsaparilla. (Again, only 3 bottles in a booth full of furniture and they were $10. each. The other two were junkers.)
Indian Queen. I've been looking for a good deal on one of these for years. $375 with perfect rolled lip and near mint condition. Going in my collection for sure. This is the most I've ever paid for one bottle. Mary was not so excited about finding so many bottles to keep instead of selling but she understood about this one because I've been talking about the Indian Queen for years.
Dr Pierce's Indian.
Eagle Angostura Bark Bitters.

That's it for now. This is not all the bottles we came home with but it is the best ones. I'll be selling bottles on ebay all through October so please check jays-emporium. I'll post a link in the Auction section. Thanks for looking.
Jay

Jim, that aqua ink says ANTOINE, near mint, and yes I would sell it. Send me a PM with offer if you are interested, or I can email you some better pics.
