I was cleaning out my attic and stumbled upon a poison bottle manufactured by Burroughs Wellcome & Co. I have been unable to find out much about this particular bottle and was wondering if anyone could furnish me with any info (ie... rarity? value? etc...). I'm attaching a photo of the bottle. The bottle is in excellent condition with no cracks or chips. It appears that it may not have been used as the cork looks "sealed" in the neck opening. The bottle measures 2 1/2 tall by 1 1/2 inches. Cork stopper is present. The glass is clear. The neck of the bottle has a rolled lip. Label is intact Wording reads: Tabloid' Strophanthus Each contains the solid ingredients of Strophanthus Tinct., U.S.P. min. 5 (0.3 c.c.) Direction. One taken with water, as ordered by the physician. U.S.A. 1111 Burroughs Welcome & Co. London (ENG.) New York Montreal Sydney Capetown Milan Shanghai Buenos Aires Bombay MADE IN ENGLAND Also, there is a small label on the neck of the bottle which reads POISON in red letters with a # 132 beneath it. The back has a small sticker on the bottom which reads "100 products". The bottom of the bottle is embossed "Wellcome Chem Works" with a # 103 embossed in the center of the bottom. Thanks in advance for your time and help.
