I saw these at a sale from 1913-1915 in pretty good shape. I am sure the guy has them (way out in the country) wondering what these items may be worth. Any guess-timates from the pro antiquewists (new word-websters said its on their list for inclusion) what they may bring?

No, not calling anyone a twit. Meant people "in the know". Yes, these plates are very similar to your picture. In think I will drive by and ask (it is the last day of the rummage) and see if we can strike a bargain.

Would 10 a piece be a good price? lower? I do know their worth something.

10 each would be a steal if they're at least in decent shape. I saw one 3 weeks ago at an auction bring 30, and it was nailed to a wall in a garage. I'm always on the look out for those super early ones

Took the best looking 1913 green and white. Had one other `13 and a red and white `14 but they were in pretty rough shape.

you always find the goodness!!!!

I have a few I dug when metal detecting the yard at the farm from 48 to 52..need to clean them up, but they are flat and readable...and oddly enough, wired together.

I will be going back to their sale. They have 2 more loads coming and the lady said stop in after 12. When I stopped yesterday before noon, her and the hubby were already enjoying their tallboys. Looking around they sure had a lot of empties. They were friendly types. Hopefully they will have good stuff again.

I think also, people are parting with items they have saved and now out of desperation (economy) are forced to sell. Although I think these folks are stocking up on their Winter beer supply (like a squirrel stores nuts).

Suerly if you lived in a larger area you would see more stuff. Lots of people have the same sale over and over because they cant get rid of the stuff and are in need of cash. Unless they live in an area which only allows a permit for 2 sales or only 1 per annum.

See if they get a camera, I'd love to see pics of the plates.
