If you mean how do I cut the stripped copper into small tumbling size pieces. I bought a very good hand copper and take the copper strand and make a series of indentations into the strand. When I have finished a strand, I just crumble the strand by hand into a container. The larger gauge copper, I just cut the strand into small pieces into a bowl. It takes time and I am sure someone on the forum has an easier and faster method for cutting the copper. The copper I buy at the reclamation center comes stripped of its plastic coating and is ready to cut. The copper wire I get for free from the electricians, I use an electrical wire stripper to split the plastic coatings off. I do a little about each day and it simply adds up over time. This way I have fresh copper just about all the time. I never mixed my new copper with my old copper. I hope this helps. sc pontil collector
