A friend of mine found a bottle with an embossed twisted pattern and "CherO" on the side... The date on the bottom was from...some time in the 20's, I can't remember exactly. I looked around on Google and found that Chero-Cola eventually became Royal Crown, etc... Does anyone know anything about bottles that just say "CherO" instead of "Chero-cola"?

Sorry I don't have a picture...didn't have a camera with me.

Thanks!

-Mark

Hi Mark, The CherO was just a different flavor Chero Cola put out. They also put out fruit flavors in a diamond pattern bottle that is very common. Chero Cola and CherO were their two patent flavors. Chero Cola was also put up in twist bottles. Most Chero Cola company bottles aren't worth much but there a few that are quite valuable like the earlyest examples or a few from obscure small towns. If it is from Columbus Ga. its worth about $2. The one on the left of the pic is mouth blown in a mold { worth $20 } the rest are machine made. The three on the left are worth $2 each, the two blue ones are worth $10. The twist bottle from from my area, Pensacola Fl., are considered very valuable by local collectors { $50 } as few were made and most of these came out of Columbis Ga.

What you have is a very nice and rare Chero Cola bottle in a very unusual color. It is hard to put a value to something like that because of lack of intrest in Chero Cola bottles but I would say easely $50++. Now is the time to make a good Chero Cola collection while the bottles, advertising items, signage and such is cheap.

Hey Cappy,

I don't see why you want one of those.  It isn’t a florabami bottle.  Are you a big Cher fan? Is that it?  I suppose it's that “if I could turn back time,” song that gotcha all hooked on her.  It does have a catchy tune i'll give you that.

To answer your question from your big day little Elijah is incredible.  Every day is something new and he is as happy as a clam.  I even caught him staring at some of my favorite bottles the other day.  I'll post a picture in a minute.  I have to find a recent one.

Steven
