use a two part epoxy Digs. Mix the stuff and with a razor scrape colored chalk into the mix for color. works like a charm.

Lobes.

hey guys has anyone ever seen china repaired with staples?
i have the most beautiful Fish Platter that I got in an Auction
Box Lot. I was Bidding wildly with a bunch of people. i didn't know what they were
really after that or a Hull Buddha, plus a mix of odds and ends. But, I was told that back in the day you had everything repaired. not like today where everything is disposable. a repairman would come around the neighborhood and do fine china repairs. A dealer told me it's worth over 150 dollars stapled.

I watched a guy do it once at an antique fair. Kind of a demonstration of the old days, and ways. he was 85 if he was a day and had hands made of steel. a novice might think it detracts from the value greatly but it's quite acceptable from what i hear.

Digswithstick, this is an old oval fish platter from Austria it says ROYAL in the middle with a wreath around it.  I can't make out the words above. I'll try to take a pic with this borrowed camera. Discover card has an offer  if you open a new Discover more card you can get a free Canon powershot for free. you probably have to sign up for somthing in the fine print that I'm not seeing. But I'll see what I can do. ~Stardust~
