Went back to the toc dump for a few hours.  It never warmed up even though the sun was shinning. The wind was keeping the temperature down.  That undisturbed area was still turning up bottles, when I ran into this thing.  Appears to be a chassis of some sort.  If you notice on the right og the pic there's another piece runinng parallel to it.

There's no moving this thing out of the way.  Appears to be going at an angle downward.  There is some sort of running board attached on a curved bar.

Close up of this running board , or whatever it is.  All I know is that it's in the way of the bottles underneath.

It got dark on me before I could uncover and remove the chassis out of the way.

Even though this metal thing slowed down the digging, I did manage to take a few home.  Not much, but a couple worth keeping out of this toc bunch.  In front of the ink on the left side is one of the smallest embossed drug store bottles that I have ever dug.

Thanks John,  There were a lot of different  ceramic insulators and wire strain reliefs  used in early electric house wiring.  They kept the electric wires away from the wood surfaces that they were nailed to.

Judu, I wouldn't say that they are rare, but are not as common as the aqua ones.  I have found broken ones in the bottle dump,  but this is only the second whole, undamaged one in 40 years of digging.
